On 9 November, Ambassador Du Xiaohui paid a courtesy call on Hon. Leonard Mbao, Minister of Northern Province of Zambia.

Minister Mbao said that Northern Province has a long history, rich resources, good transportation infrastructure and great potential in agriculture and tourism. He hoped that Chinese investors would invest in the province and help promote local economic and social development.

Ambassador Du said that Northern Province has good hydrothermal conditions and vast land suitable for the cultivation of grains and various cash crops and is a favorable location for agricultural cooperation between China and Zambia. The two heads of state agreed that 2024 will be the Year of Culture and Tourism, and the Northern Province can use its advantages to attract more Chinese tourists to visit.
