On 28 November, Ambassador Han Jing attended the Launch of the “Harmony in Diversity: Zambia-China Bilateral Relationship Art Exhibition”. Hon. Elvis Nkandu, Minister of Youth, Sports and Arts, Dr. Frederick Mutesa, Secretary-General of the Zambia China Friendship Association, and representatives of the Diplomatic Corps were present.
Ambassador Han said that the art exhibition, as another key event to celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations of the two countries and the Year of Culture and Tourism, illustrates the growing harmony, integration, and affinity of the two peoples accumulated through 60 years’ friendly cooperation. The Chinese side is ready to work with the Zambian side, with the guidance of the Global Civilization Initiative, to further contribute artistic wisdom and inspiring strength to the development of bilateral relations, as they work hand in hand to respond to global challenges for common prosperity.
Hon. Nkandu said that the exhibition stands for the strong people-to-people ties between Zambia and China as they keep enhancing mutual cooperation and understanding in the past 60 years. He urged artists from the two sides to pass on the traditional friendship, further promote cultural exchanges, thus building a community with a shared future. Dr. Mutesa said that the Zambia China Friendship Association will continue to promote people-to-people friendship between the two countries through culture sharing.
