On 18th October, Ambassador Du Xiaohui held a special media briefing on the key report delivered by H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China at the opening ceremony of the 20th National Congress of the CPC. Zambian media including ZNBC, Daily Mail, Times of Zambia, Daily Nation, The Mast and Radio Phoenix attended the event.

Ambassador Du introduced the main contents of the report delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping. In light of the changes in the world, national conditions and the Party's situation, he highlighted the great achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC in the new era, elaborated on China's two-step strategy of "basically realize socialist modernization by 2035, and build China into a great modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious, and beautiful from 2035 through the middle of this century” .

Ambassador Du gave a comprehensive overview of the framework of the Report, pointing out that the Report brings certainty, continuity, stability and an opportunity to the world, Africa and Zambia, and China's development is a chance for the world and the continuous development of the China-Zambia relations.

Ambassador Du highlighted the core elements of the part of the Report "Promoting World Peace and Development, and Building a Human Community with a Shared Future", and talked about his understanding of the Chinese Modernization and its significance for the world and developing countries.
