On October 20, Ambassador Du Xiaohui met with Ashu Sagar, President of Zambia Association of Manufacturers (ZAM).

Ambassador Du introduced the main framework and contents of the report by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The very part of the report related to China’s opening-up and high-quality development, he said, is crucial for China-Zambia practical cooperation, and will bring major opportunities to the Zambian business community. China is willing to take the success of China-Zambia Trade and Investment Forum as an opportunity to continue to explore more possibilities for deepening China-Zambia trade and investment cooperation. ZAM is an important organization in the Zambian business community. China always welcomes sincere suggestions on China-Zambia practical cooperation.

Mr. Sagar thanked Ambassador Du for his comprehensive introduction on the 20th CPC National Congress. He said that ZAM is willing to actively promote Zambia-China practical cooperation, as well as to jointly promote the further development of MFEZs and support the activation of the TAZARA for promoting the revitalization of the Zambian railway system. ZAM looked forward to further dialogue with China in the future.
