On December 27, Ambassador Du Xiaohui met with Mr. Sebastian Kopulande, Chairman of Zambia-China Business Friendship Association (ZCBFA).

Amb. Du briefed the latest progress of China-Zambia economic and trade cooperation. He said that from January to October 2022, the bilateral trade volume between China and Zambia reached 5.884 billion USD, more than that in any one past single year. As a result of the China-Zambia Trade and Investment Forum in September, the two countries have launched a number of China’s investment projects with new models, new fields, and new financing recently. He thanked the ZCBFA and Mr. Kopulande for their efforts in the economic and trade cooperation, and looked forward to more fruitful results in the practical cooperation between China and Zambia in 2023.

Mr. Kopulande thanked the Embassy for supporting the ZCBFA and expressed his willingness to make greater contributions to promoting Zambia-China practical cooperation.
