Notice Regarding The Issuance of Biometric Visas

According to relevant laws and regulations of the People' s Republic of China, starting from 01/12/2020, Chinese Embassy in Zambia will collect all ten fingerprints of Chinese visa applicants and issue them biometric visas. Those who meet one of the following criteria shall be exempted from fingerprints:

1. Under the age of 14 or over the age of 70.

2. Holding a diplomatic passport or meeting the issuing conditions of a Chinese diplomatic, official, courtesy visa.

3. Having been issued a biometric visa and had fingerprints collected within 5 years with the same passport by the Embassy.

4. Suffering from handicap of all ten fingers or from impossibility of fingerprints collection.

The procedure of issuing biometric visas will be more complex and the total applications to be accepted per day will be reduced accordingly. Visa applicants are suggested making their applications earlier enough before traveling to China.

The applicants must apply for the biometric visa and submit their own fingerprints themselves. The applicants will be rejected to enter China if passing others' fingerprints as their own, the applicants will take full responsibility for such dishonorable behaviour.
