On January 18th, Ambassador Li Jie met with Hon. Elias Mubanga, Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises on line.The two sides exchanged views on China-Zambia practical cooperation in the field of development of Small and Medium Enterprises.

Ambassador Li appreciated the important role of the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises in Zambia's economic and social development, and reviewed the progress of China-Zambia cooperation, especially in the field of trade and investment of SMEs. China is a major trading partner and investor for Zambia, and is willing to continue to deepen cooperation with Zambian SMEs in the field of trade and investment, especially through important platforms such as the FOCAC, to expand the scope of China-Zambia commodity trade， promote the development of e-commerce， increase the exchange of technology and talents, and boost youth employment and economic recovery in Zambia.

Mubanga spoke positively of the long-term friendly relations between China and Zambia, and appreciated China's important support and assistance in Zambia's economic and social development. He said that Zambia stands ready to explore new ways for more cooperation with China in areas such as technology, e-commerce, business investment, human resources and capacity building of SMEs.
