On 30th August, Minister Counsellor Mr. Lai Bo and the Honourable Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security Mr. Jacob Jack Mwiimbu MP jointly attended the commissioning ceremony of the Safe City Project constructed by ZTE. Nearly 100 people including representatives of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security and its subordinate law enforcement departments, and representatives of ZTE attended the event.

Minister Counsellor Mr. Lai said that ZTE has overcome various difficulties, smoothly promoted project construction and delivery, and made important contributions to the promotion of Zambia's safe city network. The establishment of an "all-weather, all-dimensional, high-quality" friendly cooperative relationship between China and Zambia in the new era is inseparable from excellent Chinese entreprise. China wishes to continue to further deepen pragmatic cooperation with Zambia in various fields, encourages more Chinese enterprises to invest in Zambia, and jointly consolidate China-Zambia all-weather partnership.

The Hon. Minister Mr. Mwiimbu said that the Zambian side attaches great importance to the friendly and cooperative relations between China and Zambia, and thanks Chinese companies such as ZTE and Jiangsu International for their important contributions to the Safe City Project. The project provides Zambia with a high-level, high-quality public security information system. It is hoped that relevant departments in Zambia will make full use of this system to better serve the Zambian people and ensure the safe and stable development of Zambia's economy and society.
