On 22nd November, H.E. Mr. Du Xiaohui, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, met with Hon. Brenda Tambatamba, Minister of Labour and Social Security. They exchanged views on bilateral relationship and practical cooperation.
Minister Tambatamba said, Zambia and China continue to enjoy warm and cordial bilateral ties that have lasted since Zambia’s independence. China provided active support to the Zambia Government in its efforts to consolidate political independence and struggle against colonialism. China has remained a very reliable partner. The New Dawn Government looks forward to expand bilateral cooperation, notably in infrastructure development, health, education, commerce and trade.
Ambassador Du said, China and Zambia enjoy profound traditional friendship. Over the past period of time, China-Zambia relations have made further progress. President Xi Jinping had a telephone conversation with President Hakainde Hichilema. The China-Zambia Trade and Investment Forum was successfully held.
Ambassador Du said, to the middle of this century， China will build a great modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious, and beautiful. The high-quality development, people-centered development and improvement of the people's well-being have provided continuity, stability and broad opportunities for China-Zambia bilaterally cooperation.
