On 12 September 2023, Chargé d’Affaires Wang Sheng met with Mr. Friday Mcsleezy Mulenga, President of Zambia China Old Students Association (ZACOSA).

Mr. Mulenga briefed the Chargé d’Affaires on the operation of ZACOSA, and said that it will continue to provide good services for Zambian students who are going to study in China and back in Zambia for employment, and to promote educational cooperation and cultural exchanges between Zambia and China.

Chargé d’Affaires Wang said that, as affinity between peoples holds the key to state-to-state relations, the work done by ZACOSA is of great significance. President Hichilema is paying a state visit to China, which will surely inject new impetus into the further development of China-Zambia relations. It is hoped that ZACOSA will continue to contribute to China-Zambia cultural exchanges and practical cooperation in various fields. 

Zambia China Old Students Association was officially established in 2014, with a main purpose to promote educational and cultural exchanges and cooperation, as well as economic and trade relations between Zambia and China.
