On May 31, H.E. Mr. Li Jie, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia met with Mr. Kakoma Kanganja, Inspector General of Zambia Police Service.

Ambassador Li expressed gratitude to Headquarters of Zambia Police Service as well as Inspector General Kanganja for the efforts on Chinese citizens protection. He also expressed that the consular consultation mechanism established between the Chinese Embassy in Zambia and relevant Zambian government departments including Headquarters of Zambia Police Service has played an important role in the regular bilateral exchanges and cooperation, and hope to further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation with the Zambian police.

Inspector General Kanganja stated that the Zambian police are willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Zambia, the overseas Chinese communities and Chinese citizens in Zambia, and hoped that the Chinese Embassy in Zambia would provide more support and assistance on the training of Zambian police forces.
