On 22nd June, H.E. Mr. Du Xiaohui, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, paid a courtesy call on Rt. Hon Nelly B. K Mutti, Speaker of the National Assembly. They exchanged views on China-Zambia  relations and friednly exchanges on legislature.

First, Ambassador Du conveyed to Speaker Mutti the cordial greetings from Mr. Li Zhanshu, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China. Ambassador Du said that On 31st May, the two heads of state  had a successful telephone conversation and reached important consensus on developing traditional friendship, which is a milestone in bilateral relations. China-Zambia relations features "all-weather, all-dimensional and all-party". The Chinese Embassy in Zambia stands ready to strengthen cooperation with Zambian friends from all walks of life to jointly implement the outcomes of the phone conversation between the two heads of state and further promote China-Zambia friendly cooperative relations.

Speaker Mutti asked Ambassador Du to convey her cordial greetings to Chairman Li Zhanshu. She said the all-weather friendship between Zambia and China has stood the test of time and become stronger as time passes. She appreciated China's valuable support for Zambia's development over the years and hoped to continue to maintain close cooperation with the Chinese Embassy, strengthen exchanges in legislative bodies and other areas so as to jointly push forward bilateral relations and serve the two peoples.
