On 26th July, Mr. Du Xiaohui, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia met with Hon. Mulambo Haimbe, Minister of Justice. They exchanged views on issues such as how to facilitate Chinese investment.

Ambassador Du said that President Xi Jinping’s recent telephone conversation with President Hichilema gives political guidance to the bilateral relations. Both sides are actively implementing the important consensus reached by the two Heads of State, and have signed multiple cooperation agreements including trade protocols, to which the Ministry of Justice of Zambia rendered important assistance. The Chinese side is willing to work closely with the Ministry and further facilitate investment and trade cooperation between China and Zambia.

Minister Haimbe said that, from the time Zambia was born, the country continued to enjoy a long lasting relationship with China. He thanked China for its strong support for Zambia’s economic and social development. He said that the Ministry of Justice of Zambia is ready to create a more conducive legal environment for Chinese investment and trade cooperation.
