On April 24, Ambassador to Zambia Han Jing and Zambian Minister of Finance Situmbeko Musokotwane, on behalf of their respective governments, signed the Agreement on Development Cooperation between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Zambia.

Ambassador Han Jing stated that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the China-Zambia Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership has continued to grow. The signing of today's agreement is the latest achievement in implementing the "Ten Partnership Actions" of the FOCAC Beijing Summit and the successful visit of Premier Li Qiang to Zambia last year. It is also an important reflection of China's sincere assistance to Zambia. He expressed the hope that both sides would take this opportunity to continue fostering friendship, deepen cooperation, and further advance China-Zambia relations and collaboration across various fields.

Minister Musokotwane stated that he sincerely appreciates the long-standing valuable support provided by the Chinese government and people. The signing of today's agreement is a strong testament to the Chinese government's commitment to honoring its promises. He noted that China not only provides financial support but also shares development experience and encourages greater Chinese investment in Zambia, thereby helping Zambia build capacity for self-driven development and resilience against external risks. The Zambian government will work closely with the Chinese side to ensure the rapid implementation of the agreement.
