On March 17, Ambassador Han Jing visited Chinese-contracted projects in Southern Province, including the Siavonga 100 MW Solar Power Plant and the Kariba North Bank Extension Power Station.

At the site of the Siavonga 100 MW Solar Power Plant, Ambassador Han listened to the company’s project briefing, observed the construction progress, and greeted frontline staff. He stressed that enterprises must strengthen workplace safety management, operate in strict compliance with laws and regulations, actively fulfill social responsibilities, and resolutely reject vicious competition, so as to build a good image for Chinese enterprises.

At the Kariba North Bank Extension Power Station, Ambassador Han inquired in detail about the operation of the generating units from the Zambian side. He stated that China supports Chinese enterprises in taking an active part in Zambia’s power projects, applying advanced technologies and equipment, consolidating and deepening bilateral cooperation across various fields, and contributing to the development of the China-Zambia comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership.
