On July 14, the Chinese Embassy in Zambia held a reception to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army(PLA). Officials and officers from Zambia government, Defence Force and Police presented at the event, along with members of the Diplomatic Corps in Zambia, representatives of local Chinese community and Chinese military medical experts. 

The Chinese Ambassador in Zambia, H.E. Mr. Han Jing reviewed the achievements of the Communist Party of China in leading the people over the past 105 years in his speech, emphasized China's important contribution to world peace, and expressed China's readiness to work with Zambia to jointly implement the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind and to advance the Four Global Initiatives.

The Defence Attaché, Senior Colonel Bai Yunfeng introduced China's defensive national defense policy, declared PLA's firm resolve to safeguard national unity, emphasized its vital role in peacekeeping, naval escort missions and humanitarian assistance. He expressed a readiness to deepen the cooperation and exchanges with Zambia Defence Force , and to contribute to world peace jointly.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Mr. Maambo Haamaundu express appreciation to China for the long-term support for Zambia's defence development, praised China's outstanding contribution to maintaining world peace, and wish for further advancement in relations between the two countries and armed forces.
