On 24 September 2026, Ambassador Han Jing paid a courtesy visit on Her Honour Mutale Nalumango, Vice President of Zambia.

Ambassador Han Jing said that, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Hakainde Hichilema, the China-Zambia Comprehensive Strategic and Cooperative Partnership has continued to grow. China stands ready to work with Zambia to carry forward the TAZARA Spirit and enhance practical cooperation in agriculture, mining, green energy, infrastructure, disaster management and mitigation, among other areas, for the benefits of the peoples of both countries.

Vice President Nalumango asked Ambassador Han to convey her cordial greetings to Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and warmly congratulated the People’s Republic of China on the 77th anniversary of its founding. She stressed that China-Zambia friendship is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and that Zambia stands ready to carry forward the friendship, pursue development hand in hand with China, and welcomes deeper improvement by Chinese businesses as Zambia implements the Grow Zambia Agenda. Zambia firmly adheres to the one-China principle and looks forward to strengthening dialogue and cooperation with China in such areas as artificial intelligence and climate change.
