On September 29, the Chinese Embassy in Zambia donated tractors and other agricultural machinery to Zambia Air Force to support Zambian Defence Force’s efforts in ensuring national food security. The donation ceremony was held at the Zambia Air Force Headquarters.
Ambassador Han Jing said that the donation is a concrete step in implementing the "Partnership Action for Agriculture and Livelihoods" under the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), and will help Zambia enhance its agricultural mechanization. China is willing to work with Zambia to deepen cooperation in agriculture, infrastructure, and peace and security, so that China-Zambia friendship will yield more fruits.

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Mr. Maambo Haamaundu expressed gratitude for China's generous assistance. He noted that the true value of the China-Zambia partnership lies in pragmatic cooperation, and looked forward to deepening cooperation in various fields such as agriculture and food security.
Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Oscar Msitu Nyoni said that the donation reflects the deep friendship between the two countries, and that the partnership has expanded from traditional military cooperation into the vital field of national food security. He thanked China for its continued, tangible support to Zambia Air Force.
