On October 8, Ambassador Han Jing and Hon. Mulambo Haimbe, SC, MP, on behalf of the two governments respectively, signed the exchange of notes on the Project of the Office Building for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Zambia.

Ambassador Han said that the traditional friendship between China and Zambia is time honored and has continued to develop in recent years. The project of the office building for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is a concrete measure to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of states and the "Ten Partnership Actions" of the Beijing Summit of the FOCAC. China will work closely with the Zambian government to promote the early implementation of the project.

Haimbe expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chinese government for its valuable support for the economic and social development of Zambia over the years. The office building project is very important to the Zambian side and is a vivid manifestation of the development of the China-Zambia comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership. Zambia is willing to work together with China to continue to promote new progress in bilateral relations.
