On September 16, 2026, Chinese Embassy in Zambia hosted a roundtable with students from the International Relations and Diplomacy Association at National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) of Zambia. Minister-Counsellor Zhang Peilan together with young diplomats from the Embassy, and around 30 students from NIPA attended the event.

Mr. Zhang stated that in recent years, guided by President Xi Jinping and President Hakainde Hichilema, the China–Zambia Comprehensive Strategic and Cooperative Partnership has continued to grow, with substantive progress in practical cooperation across multiple sectors in recent years. Young people are the future of China–Zambia relations. The Embassy welcomes students from the NIPA to learn more about China and become ambassadors of friendship between China and Zambia.

NIPA students and young diplomats from the Embassy exchanged views on China-Zambia and China-Africa relations, youth exchanges, educational opportunities, career development, among other topics.
